DESCRIPTIONS:
Pixton is one of the web 2.0 tools which is easy-to-use comic book creation site with premade templates and characters. This free online platform a nice, easy, fun way to reinforce all of the language arts skills, and a different way that might engage students. The functions are including create comic book or characters, digital comic book, storytelling, lessons, for homework, projects, lessons. After teachers establish a classroom site, they receive codes to distribute to students. Students can join by entering the code or teachers can manually add students to their class page. After students create an avatar (in comic form, of course!), they follow the step-by-step comic creator to begin their graphic stories. Teachers can make a specific assignment, or let students create freely.

Students can learn the subjects in more fun ways even though it is science subjects. The point of this task is to give the student time to learn how to use technology to their benefit for the students who feel their artist skills are not as good as others.
For example, "Animal Habitats'' topic, in this lesson plan, students will use Pixton to create a comic about an animal in their habitat. This lesson is about allowing the students use their creativity along with the information gained from an Animal Habitat unit to create comics that deal with the habitat the animal lives in. The comic should relate back to science based facts and be fun as well.
